We’re Having A…. BABY GIRL! (GENDER REVEAL)

Are you ready for some fun gender reveal pictures? I am so excited to share that baby #4 is a GIRL!! Our whole family is so thrilled to be welcoming another little girl to the tribe and evening things out a little more! I am seriously still in disbelief even though I suspected we were having a girl. I’ve known for awhile, but it’s just now starting to sink in as I begin to work on her nursery. After two boys in a row, it feels very strange to be buying everything PINK again!

Crazy as it is, I’ve always felt a connection to this little girl. I’ve prayed about her, had dreams about her. I knew without a doubt that I would love a little boy just the same, but couldn’t get over how strongly I felt about having another girl — this girl.

And Phil is just as happy. He wanted a girl too, especially in the last few weeks as the reveal got closer and closer. Of course he wanted a girl, he already have 2 boys to “carry on his name.”And this little girl (our BUNSO in the family) is going to be SUCH a daddy’s girl, I just know it.

We were at Target last night and as we were going though the aisles and I was oooing and ahhhing at all the cute girl stuff,  Phil said that while he’s so happy we’re having a girl, he’s not excited about all the girly shopping. Haha!! We’ll laugh about it for the rest of our lives.

Anyway, because I’m 35 (advance maternal age, ahemmm) I took a chromosomal blood test when I was 10 weeks along and the results came back girl (as well as normal chromosomes). Is that nuts or what? They can check the baby’s chromosomes and gender only from drawing blood from my arm as early as 10 weeks! I asked my OB if they’ve ever been wrong, and she said of all the tests they’ve done it’s only been wrong once. It was a lab error of some sort. It’s supposed to have a 99.4 percent accuracy rate. That sounds pretty darn accurate, but my old fashioned mind was still waiting for the ultrasound.

As you all know from my pregnancy announcement that my daughter really prayed to have a little sister. Truly, God answered her prayer! It is almost very miraculous that God would answer the prayer of little children. Little children prayed very simple prayers out of their pure heart. They meant everything they say and God answers them instantly.

A Child’s Faith-Filled Prayer and God’s Amazing Answer

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. — Matthew 17:20, NIV

I’m also thrilled to see Tabitha grow into a big sister. She is constantly patting my stomach, putting her favorite princess stickers on my belly for the baby, and giving me even more hugs than usual. I just know she’s going to be so great with her little sister ( she even asked me if she can help me to change her diaper), and I’m so excited to see their relationship grow over the coming years. I’m also excited for the boys having a little sister soon. Both of them never stop talking about her. What’s she’s going to be like?

I’m normally a very private person when it comes to speaking about my family. In fact, I don’t think I’ve really shared too much about my last pregnancy, delivery, or time with David on the blog other than our last pregnancy announcement. Every time someone would suggest a post idea around pregnancy or motherhood, I just felt my protective walls go up for some reason.

I hope you enjoyed these photos from our gender reveal party! We had such a wonderful time celebrating with friends and family and finding out this news was such a great surprise! I am so so happy to finally share the news with you all! We can’t wait for what’s to come and to share this journey with you guys! We are due real soon. Thank you so much for all of your overwhelming support on Instagram and the kind messages. We have read every single one of them and they have truly warmed our hearts. It’s been such a special time for us!

Until the next update! XO
