The RED Dress Effect

STATAMENT OR STAPLE

Those who follow me on Instagram probably know how much I loved to wear red coat during the holiday season and I honestly have no clue what kept me from wearing it after that. A red piece like this is the cherry on top of every black and white outfit.I would say a red coat makes everything more simple when you want a cool look without doing too much. You know that winter is that season when you basically want to cover yourself so you don’t freeze and styling might be last on your list when you want to leave the house. But if you can do both at a blink of an eye, would you?

The Red Dress Effect is a “phenomenon in which people wearing red clothing, such as a red dress, are perceived to be more sexually appealing.” – Wikipedia.

You know I love red, but add a little ruffle dress into the mix and I couldn’t have felt more saucy in this look! This Mariella shirred pleated cotton-poplin midi dress from Khaite is a total dream! If you haven’t noticed by now, RED is one of the hottest trends for fall/winter. I’ve always loved the color, but it’s so fun seeing the trend blow up from boots and sweaters to statement bags, dresses and coats. I’ll take a little red anything over white, or black, or even all red like I was wearing here any day.
