Gianni Bini Sophie Crepe Eyelet Tiered Square Neck Midi Dress
The sun was shining and I’m not wasting one second of this clear blue sky. Who knows we might not see it again for a few months. I hit the city early, Denver is so lovely just before the shops open. The coffee shops are starting to fill up with the early worms catching up or reading the morning newspaper. It’s amazing how a clear blue sky can change the way you feel and see the world.
Today’s outfit post is all that. It’s all that summer represents to me and whilst I appreciate some might find white and lace dresses a bit cheasy, I love it. In fact, I’m a big sucker for… I actually managed to get this white number from Gianni Bini on a sale about a month ago ($39.75 only!!!) and this was a first time I wore it, though certainly not the last one. A little WHITE dress is, for me, a welcome addition to my wardrobe, despite the fact that due to Texas summers, I might only wear it on special occasion.
Dressing for a hot summer day, you are left with two choices, you can either be the queen, totally slaying it, or you can end up like a sweating, frizzled mess as soon as you step out of your air-conditioned residency. Before I forget, the lace adds a real classy edge to this dress, making it far more standout than it would if it was purely white. Perhaps it was the reason I was drawn me to this dress as soon as I spotted it at Dillards. The length, style and white colour, I did feel rather lady like in this dreamy summer ensemble.
What are your tips on what to wear in summer when it’s red hot?
