Born in 2015 by East London designer Nina Hopkins, Jakke was founded upon the belief that fashion-forward women should be able to buy confidently into ethical fashion. They’ve certainly stuck to that dream with their innovative collection of faux fur jackets—being awarded “Best Faux Fur Brand” and “Best Wool Free Brand” by PETA.
Happy Friday! So let’s talk about this outfit: I was immediately drawn to this Jakke fur print coat for obvious reasons — good colors, classic shape, teddy texture, and seriously cool pattern. This outfit is also a great example of why pairing a large-scale print with a smaller style will always look good. There are so many ways you can wear this coat, but instead of throwing on a white dress or jeans (although both would look amazing) consider something unexpected: a long neon green shirt & shorts set from LOVE BONITO with a cute Gucci handbag for example. The trick is playing with scale — a large print will naturally steal your eye’s focus allowing the smaller print to blend into the background. I always look for similar or complementary colors and a distinct difference in pattern size to make sure everything feels cohesive.
I have to admit that this outfit is stunning. I love your shoes!
