3 Fashion Tips: How To Wear An Orange Dress in Summer

Orange is becoming an increasingly fashionable color to wear these day & I’m not at all surprised. It is a fabulous, rarely worn shade that looks great on any skin tone & plays well with other hues. I truly believe orange is the new red! It’s a cheerful hue and the perfect color dress to wear to a wedding or party, especially if you want to be a little different! And so many options exist such as coral & peach, so bright orange outfits are not your only option.

Here’s a 3 guide on how to wear yours today! // How to Wear an Orange Dress

1.) Pair Your Orange Dress with A Denim Jacket: When thinking about how to wear a sundress especially an orange one, one of my top tips is to layer a denim jacket on top of it. A sundress + denim jacket is a classic combo that won’t go out of style, at least, not for a long time! It’s a great way to make the ensemble cute and casual.

2.) Add Fun Accessories to Your Orange Dress: And my last tip for how to wear an orange dress is to accessorize! Don’t forget to have fun with it! Try adding in a fun sunhat, statement earrings or a cardigan in a contrasting color, a cute top knot headband, as the possibilities are endless!

3.) Red Shoes with an Orange Dress: Funny enough, I would usually tell someone to avoid red shoes with orange dresses. Had I not seen the dress or shoes, of course! Now, because this dress is white and orange, a primarily red shoe with white sunnies, red lippie looks rather good. And yes, pink shoes would have worked well with this dress too.

Purse Styling Tip: I’d remain neutral when you’ve got a colored dress & shoe happening at the same time. That way, it doesn’t call too much attention to itself & allows the shoes & outfit to shine.

I honestly don’t wear orange as often as I do other colors, but it’s definitely fun to mix it up from time to time. In fact, we should all wear the color orange some more!
