Happy Monday lovelies! I stand before you today to suggest that every girl’s also gotta have a Little Red Coat. It is edging up there in wardrobe pervasiveness. If I think about my winter wardrobe, it is full of denim, pink, black, navy, a few winter whites shades of grey and one or two colourful trench coats. Now there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing neutrals most of the time, but sometimes the long winter can feel a little ‘dark’ in more ways that one, and that’s when a colourful coat can work wonders to brighten your mood and that of others around you. The other day I was in downtown and watched a sea of people coming towards me down the street. Everyone was wearing black or very dark colors apart from one old lady in a red coat and it was the pop of color that I needed to lift my mood.

I bought my red coat from Nordstrom. I really like this style of coat. It’s less formal, cozy and looks just as good done up as it does left undone. I like to call this a dressing coat. I always keep the rest of my outfit colorful as much as possible, but if you are feeling daring, then a red coat can look amazing against pink. You’ll see that I have accessorized with plaid scarf and cute ankle boots from A’GACI. I think red and black is a match made in fashion heaven.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a nice Monday and a fresh start to your week!

I love how you rocked this coat with bare legs, the print scarf makes the red pop more and the chunky boots edge up the look. All in all the outfit makes you look super SUPER young, you are putting most teenagers to shame. Brava for being a ma and wearing a coat that’s above the knees and with bare legs to boot! Xx

I love your red coat, Len! I bought a red coat similar to yours several years ago and it is still one of my favorites to wear every winter. 🙂 Red, especially in winter, is such a mood lifter. 🙂
