I hope everyone had a wonderful start to their holiday season yesterday. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year, second only to Christmas Eve. As the days get shorter and colder, it feels even better than normal to share a drink and eat some fantastic food with family and friends. The downtown is beautifully lit up with lights on all the trees and lots of businesses have beautiful holiday window displays- it has the effect of making you feel warm inside even when the temperature is in the teens. To sum up, the holidays are a wonderful time to reflect on your life. I’m grateful for my family, my friends, my good health, and my community. I’m grateful for the out pour of support I’ve gotten from the people of this blogging community. So here’s to all of you- without you, I would not be able to make my dreams come true!
On today’s post I’m featuring my new dress from Ever Pretty. This dress was absolutely perfect for any occasion! In the last couple of years, maxi dresses have become staple items in any woman’s closet. The truth is that they look great on every body type and can be worn throughout all the seasons. And yet some ladies still struggle fitting a maxi dress into their wardrobe. If you have a small frame (like me), you’re going to want a dress that is fit and snug so it doesn’t overwhelm you. For extra height, try adding some heels to elongate your figure. If you are naturally thin, look for a dress with a v-neck cut or a print. It will add texture to your lean figure. When it comes to maxi dresses, ti’s all about finding one that fits your personality, and that means keeping colors and prints in mind. Because some women struggle with venturing into this article of clothing, finding a shade that you’re comfortable in will help you shine through and wear the dress confidently. Is red your color? Choose a deep burgundy so you fell like yourself. On the other hand, a cheetah print might be more up your alley. Maxi dresses are all about showcasing your personal style– whatever that means to you. Use some of your favorite items in your closet, like a leather jacket or bold necklace, to make maxi dresses more “you”. That way, even if you’re new to this style, you’ll still be true to yourself.
