This morning she came to me and said.. I want to give you a kiss Mom. She did have yogurt and fruit all over her face but of course I happily accepted. She also gives the best hugs where she just grabs you and squeezes you so tightly. She does take a long time to warm up to people but once you’re in the inner circle she will love you so deeply and warmly. I love that she’s at an age where she really enjoys and appreciates things like this. Running errands isn’t that fun but to a four-year-old.. getting to spend alone time with their mom is so special. Actually, it might’ve been even more special for the mom. 🙂
Conversations can sometimes feel like interrogations with curious, chatty 4 year-olds. A particular favorite now is the “wh”words: Where are we going, Mom? When will we get there? Who are we going to see? Why isn’t Dad coming with us?
Big sister Tabitha — He might eat your books and drool on your favorite dolls. He might cry and grab your hair. Just know though that Joshua truly adores you and will always be one of your biggest fans.
