2-Month-Old Baby-The Mom Life

Our Baby Is Two Months Old…Well, almost. ; ) June 2nd actually marks the big milestone for my baby girl whom I’ve spent nearly every waking moment with since the day she was born. 2 months have never gone by so fast. Adeline brings me so much joy. At least once a day I lean down, smell the top of her head (smells like heaven), and think, Oh my gosh, I have a new baby. I. Have. A. NEW. BABY! It’s still very surreal.

Nothing like being double tired as a momma of 4, but the exhaustion is so worth it, and we are really having so much fun. There is a certain kind of deliriousness that takes over, so that even though you are tired, there is still much laughter and joy. My life is definitely full, and I love it. No words can explain the pure delight I have found in changing diapers, and cleaning up messes. Yes, there is stress in the responsibility, but she seems to always take a stressful situation, and make it better. Miss Adeline smiles, and our hearts melt.

She is reacting more and more, always saving the best smiles for us…the ones you can’t capture because we are so focused on the togetherness of the moment. Everybody comments on my IG stories expressive steel blue eyes, and she is babbling more and more each day. I could swear she is telling us about her day!

Here’s what else is on my mommy mind 🙂

* I find it comforting yet sad that everything we’re experiencing right now is temporary. It’s nice to know that someday in the future Phil and I won’t be waking up in the middle of the night for feedings, for instance, but sad knowing that in order to get there Adeline has to grow up. All her newborn clothes have been packed away, and I teared up folding them remembering how impossibly tiny she was to fit into them. It’s weird knowing that she will never, ever be that small again. Sigh…

* Weekends are my favorite not only because Phil is home, but because I can shower. Truly shower. Long, glorious showers!

*I’m so grateful to have my sister & my dad in town who jump at the chance to watch my kids especially ADELINE for a few hours when I need to go somewhere, or need to run a few errands solo.

Thanks again for your sweet comments ( Instagram and Facebook) about her! It means a lot to me, and I’m still shocked that I have a new baby. I prayed to hard for her, and I know many of you did as well. I know I say this a lot, but thank you for that.
