At Logan Pass, Reynolds Mountain and Clements Mountain tower over fields of wildflowers that carpet the ground throughout the summer. Waves of yellow glacier lilies pushing up through the snow are quickly replaced by a variety of alpine plants adapted to this harsh, but spectacularly beautiful habitat. Mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and the occasional grizzly bear lumbering through the meadows offer spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities.

Logan Pass is the highest elevation (6646ft/2025m) reachable by car in the park. It is extremely popular with visitors and the parking lot is generally full between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. Consider visiting this destination by using the free shuttles to avoid limited parking, or plan to visit early or late in the day if possible. Early morning light on the mountains provides excellent photographs and the chances to see wildlife are greater before the crowds arrive. Hiking two of the area’s most popular trails, the Hidden Lake trail and the Highline trail, is the perfect way to build an appetite for a late supper back at camp or your hotel.

A Family that Hikes Together, Stays Together. 🌲

Logan’s pass is the highest point on the Going to the sun road. The views are great and there is access to several trails. You can take the free shuttle to get here as well which makes sense. Bring plenty of water.

Getting here is a treat by itself but stopping and exploring at Logan Pass is one of my favorite lifetime experiences. Plenty of hiking trails are part of the pass. There is a building on the property comprising of restrooms, a gift shop, tourist information desk, and viewing areas. Walking ‍♀️ the property you may find some wildlife around such as ram horn sheep , mountain goats , chipmunks, etc.

The views were so dramatic and overwhelmingly gorgeous! It was an incredible feeling to be standing in the presence of such spectacular natural beauty.

And with this popularity also comes a few challenges during the peak travel season, so we’d like to share with you some helpful tips to maximize your enjoyment of Logan Pass during your next Glacier National Park vacation..

Tip #1: Bring A Lunch
There is no food or beverages for sale at Logan Pass along the Going To The Sun Road in Glacier Park, so it’s really important to bring your own food and beverages. There is a drinking fountain near the visitor center, but that’s it!

Tip #2: Get There Early
If you want to find an easy parking spot without delay, it’s best get to Logan Pass before 10:30 am. After that, the parking lot really starts to fill up fast. If your goal is to spend your day at Logan Pass along the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park, or at least a good portion of it, the earlier you get to the parking lot, the better.

Tip #3: If Parking Lot Sign Says “FULL”…
For the past few years, the NPS has been putting up a sign that says “Parking Lot Full- Expect Delays”. If you see this sign, we recommend that you pull into Logan Pass anyway, and simply drive around until you luck out and grab a parking spot that opens up. Keep in mind that there are always visitors coming and going from the Going to the sun road parking lot. The trick is to drive around and around, along with the twenty or so other cars looking for a parking spot, with the hopes of someone leaving the parking lot just as you are ready to pull in and take their spot. STAY CALM and don’t let your blood pressure go through the roof, and have faith that you’ll eventually find a parking spot. It has been our personal experience that we’ve only had to wait at the most 20 minutes for a spot to open up for us. Again, be patient and stay calm.

Tip #4: Bring Hiking Boots / Shoes
Even if you don’t plan on hiking during your Going o the Sun road adventure, when you get to Logan Pass, something creeps into practically everyone on the pass. We call it “Glacier Park Magic”, and this magic will overcome you and you’ll find yourself walking along the Hidden lake trail boardwalk and ending up at hidden lake overlook. This is probably one of the most gorgeous 1.5 mile hikes in North America, and we’ve seen literally every walk of life on this trail and every size and shape. So you might as well be ready for the “Glacier Park Magic” and bring appropriate footwear, because we can assure you that you will go on a hike while you’re there, whether you were expecting to or not.

Logan Pass along the Going to the sun road in Glacier National Park is without question one of the most popular destinations for Glacier National Park Visitors, and by following these simple tips that we’ve just shared with you, your Logan Pass experience will be far more pleasant and enjoyable.

I had an amazing experience hiking this spectacular trail and being able to witness such incredible natural beauty and scenery. It is such a unique trail (probably the most scenic hike that I have ever completed) with breathtaking views that is definitely worth checking out if you are in Glacier National Park. This trail definitely has a “wow” factor and I was constantly in awe of the beautiful surroundings. The photos don’t even do it justice. This trail is just something that you have to experience for yourself to understand!

Hike to Delicate Arch is a must. Delicate Arch is one of the most famous geological features in the world. The opening beneath the arch is 64 feet (19 m) high and 45 feet (14 m) wide, making it the largest free-standing arch in Arches National Park. It’s even more impressive in reality than it is in the pictures, so no wonder it’s high on top of many visitors’ to-do list in Arches. You can see the arch from the Delicate Arch view point on the road, but it’s really far. So if you want to see Delicate Arch up close, be prepared to hike.

From the moment we entered the park, we wanted to stop for pictures at every corner. The landscape was stunning and the the light was perfect for photography. We stopped once or twice. Of course we did, I just couldn’t resist.

We started hiking at 5:00 AM before sunrise with 3 little ones. This means crowds are much higher later in the day, so early birds will have a higher chance of a peaceful hike and a viewing of the arch with only a handful of people. This hike itself wasn’t incredibly hard (without kids of coarse). It took us about an hour to reach the end, and a much shorter time to hike back (probably 40 minutes on the return trip) because we could see where we were going and it was mostly downhill. We were happy with our decision to do the Delicate Arch hike during sunrise – we met only a few other people there, and it was a Sunday too! If you are looking for a quieter time to view the Delicate Arch, we 100% recommend coming to see it during sunrise.

The most beautiful of the hike is almost at the end, just before reaching Delicate Arch. Spectacular views all around! This part of the hike is a bit narrow and you have to cross the ledge, so make sure to hold on to your kids here. It was really scary though!

A Stone Icon — People come from all over the world to visit Arches National Park, and visiting Delicate Arch is on the top of many visitors’ to-do lists. In a park with over 2,000 stone arches, this particular free-standing arch has become a widely recognized symbol of the state of Utah and one of the most famous geologic features in the world.

The light opening beneath the arch is 46 feet high and 32 feet wide, making it the largest free-standing arch in the park. It has had more than a few names in its history, from the colorful (“Cowboy’s Chaps”, “Old Maid’s Bloomers”) to the prosaic (“Salt Wash Arch”). The term “Delicate” first appeared in a January 1934 article about the Arches National Monument Scientific Expedition, which described it as “the most delicately chiseled arch in the entire area.”

We were actually surprised with how big Delicate Arch was. Seeing it from the perspective of the viewing area, it didn’t look so big. After deciding to walk under it, however, we became tiny little ants under the cover of this enormous feature!

My favorite section was at the very end of the trail. You walk on the narrow path along the mountain ridge, enjoying stunning landscape, and then all of the sudden you turn behind the corner and here it is – the most beautiful Arch of Arches National Park.

We made it!!! Before our trip, we were not sure if we could hike to Delicate Arch with kids in summer, but with a little help from the clouds, we could do this fantastic hike. And yes, you can do the Delicate Arch Trail with kids in summer, but try to avoid the heat of the day – go either very early in the morning or in the evening, just before the sunset.

This fur coat from Light In The Box collection attracted a lot of attention with pink/orange color. Well, with such a bright color, it it something hard to miss, right?! Since fur is such a precious item, I usually see it in designs that will not go out of fashion in a season or two. But if we are talking about furs designed by such a luxury fashion website like LIB, there must be a unique angle to them they must be something eye-popping. But this fur coat has some other original features besides its color. For example, it does not sport any collars, which opens up a lot of possibilities in terms of combining the coat with scarves or  cowl collar sweaters.
